This looks like a very close copy of the Lo and Sons OG (but light on the exterior pockets and no over the luggage strap). Sizewise the OG is 15x17x6.5 and the Weekender is 16x19x8 so the weekender is slightly larger.
Since I wrote this post 4 months ago I have been weighing the pros and cons of various bags, agonizing over the Lo & Sons OG and how luscious it looks but dealing with the reality that my current Delsey wheeled travel trolley is really perfect for my needs at this time when I travel for business.

I do, however, need a simple bag for overnights and weekends and I love the idea of a shoe compartment (I'm so shallow ). So after flopping back and forth I ordered the Kate Spade Saturday Weekender in Galaxy during the recent sale. The Galaxy fabric is black with white spots ala stars in the night sky (or a marble composition notebook ).

The Lo and Sons bags look gorgeous but I kept thinking about what dundalk said,
But it is at the end of the day, however, a mostly nylon tote.
. The Weekender is a canvas bag. It's not as luscious as the OG. I would love to do an actual side by side comparison of the OG & the Weekender but even without seeing the OG in the flesh these are so obviously two differently appointed bags. I'm just trying to figure out the 200$ worth of difference (the Weekender cost me around 81$ after tax).

So about the Weekender...it's a heavy canvas exterior, fully lined interior. There are two exterior slip pockets and two shallow (maybe 4" deep) pockets by where the shoulder strap would attach. Hardware & zippers are sturdy metal but the zipper pulls are covered with pleather. Nice so that they don't clink, but difficult to spot against the black of the bag itself (no worries, I'll tie tartan ribbon on the zips). Handles and detatchable shoulder strap are duffle bag type cotton fabric straps where the OGs are leather.

Interior pockets- 1 side has a zip pocket with three smaller pockets on the front. This pocket is detachable...clever...and snaps right out. The other side has 2 larger, drawstring pockets. The shoe compartment is across the bottom of the bag and accessed by a zipper along 3/4 of the base. It should easily hold 2 pairs of shoes. The Weekender also has 4 plastic feet on the bottom. No strap to go over luggage handles like the OG.

I haven't tried packing the Weekender yet but the bag itself is light. Since it's canvas there are no worries about the fabric getting runs and pulls or starting to look shabby (since it's shabby by design ). I think that this will work well for me for personal travel. I'll report back after I have packed it and actually travelled with it. It seems like it will hold a lot but the crossbody strap will be a big help offsetting the weight. We'll see.

The Weekender is cute and I like the look of it a great deal. The lack of padded dividers isn't an issue for me since I keep my tablet in a case. The bag arrived well packaged and the bag itself appears very sturdy and well made. I'm looking forward to an actual test drive. The lack of zipped exterior pockets may be an issue but we'll see.
