Finally (and I mean finally - after months of trying) scored big with my DL points. Basically all flights PVG/SHA-LJG in mid Feb were close to $850-900 in Y and $1500-2000 in F/J. Dunno what's up but perhaps the country got uber rich in the short time I've been gone or airfares have just skyrocketed. Either way, I can't really fathom either (perhaps it's the late CNY rip off). So, basically paying $$ was not an option.

Anyway, MU still shows pretty empty loads on their flights and after forcing DL agents to do some long sells in A class (MU's F, which of course the DL agents continually claim "we don't have to do this with our 'new' system) I scored tickets to Lijiang.

I have 3 full days plus 3/4 of a day (last day flight leaves at 830pm from LJG). Time to plan. I'd like to do:

- 2.75 days in Lijiang (Jade Snow Dragon)
- 1 full day at Tiger Leaping Gorge

Does this sound about right? Is it worth skiing on Jade Snow Dragon Mountain?

How about CNY crowds, given the official holiday week is Jan 31-Feb 6th, will my time here (Feb 18-21) be sufficiently post crazy crowds?
