I now burn airline miles as soon as I earn them. been caught out too many times hoarding them when a devaluation comes along....my current situation with WN! I earned a 150K points on WN last year and now trying to burn them as fast as possible.
you actually do not jeopardize your credit score....My wife and I have each gotten ~20 cc's in less than 2 years and both our credit scores are still excellent. Chase SP is a great card, but saying "virtually any airline" is way off base.
Earned ~2MM and burned about 1.3MM....4 trips to SE Asia. Still have a little over 3MM and not overly concerned with devaluations.
