We were there in September and weren't charged. But hubby is Platinum so I'm not sure if that's the reason, or if policy has changed. We did have to put a placard on the dashboard.

We thought this property was just OK - just like any other Courtyard anywhere in the US! It didn't feel like Hawaii to us. Since we arrived mid-afternoon, I wish we'd just headed directly across the island to our resort instead of spending that first night in Kahului. Although we had a fantastic meal at Da Kitchen, and have been re-creating elaborate loco moco dinners at home since we returned.
