* Just to be sure... do you have the right status to enter the US (I think Canada is OK too)? Otherwise you cannot enter US without an outbound ticket.
* Don't forget the fuel and tax surcharges for the return. You will be charged for the return award regardless of any top-up.
They said they are charging me 48,000 miles for now...then when return flight from LAX back to HKG is cleared they'll charge another 48,000 at that point in time. After that I can call them to ask them to refund my mileage (24,000).
I didn't think about the status to enter the US. I'm carrying a Canadian passport. I reckon I should call CX eh.....
