In a nutshell... You need to get off the plane, which can take 10-15 min, depending where you are seated. Then you need to get to the T2 curb, and catch a bus to T4 (if you happen to just miss a bus you'd wait for the next).
Once in T4, you'd need to get upstairs, then go through security, and make your way to the US gate (could be a haul if at the end of the high A's or high B's).

I'd feel much safer having a 3 hour connection between terminals at PHX. Even then, things could still get thrown off.
