The R inventory is what I am looking for right? I could book the coach ticket and then apply a GPU for BF and should have a good chance to upgrade, right?

Just waiting for my SYD-SFO miles to post from yesterday so that I get to 1K & my GPUs. This space is still available...but, what I would actually be buying is the EWR-BRU which then connects from BRU to TXL. I don't care about being upgraded on SN for those legs. That won't have any effect or anything to do with the chances of my GPU clearing for EWR-BRU vv?
