I attended a blind tasting of small Champagne producers this week. Most all retail around €20 or €30 per bottle and several stood up to the top name brands such as Krug, Bollinger, Tattinger, etc. I tried 13 whites and 4 rosés. My top 3...

1. Benoît Lahaye, Naturessence, extra-brut http://champagne-benoit-lahaye.ardoneo.com/
2. Maurice Vesselle, Millésime 2000, grand cru, brut http://champagnemauricevesselle.com/en/
3. Daniel Savart, L'Overture, Blanc de Noirs, brut http://www.champagne-savart.com/

Not sure if you can get these easily outside of France, but they are well worth the price it you can.
