This has potential in case they don't honor. I don't think Chase likes to fight this publicly and be accused of not honoring terms of their credit cards.
I don't have the T&C of my Chase cards in front of me, but there is likely language in there that allows Chase to close your account at their will for any reason whatsoever.
Regardless, I am sure there are discussions going on today at JPM internal legal to discuss how they are going to handle this.
