Outside of the 24 hour window from the flight, it's usually at the 24, 48, 72, 96 hour mark plus or minus an hour or two. Sometimes I've seen it outside these parameters but, hey, it's SHARES so anything an happen.
ok, so it has to do with the actual flight time and not say, they run all of the upgrades at midnight? We usually notice we get our upgrades first thing in the morning, but maybe that is just when we check it...
