Many, like me, mostly need to snip just portions of the current screen to paste into email, documentation, or presentations. In the past we had to use MS Paint or similar to edit screenshots down to useable size before doing this because the entire screen was too much. The snipping tool does this nicely and is aptly named. I'm just sayin'.
