AAdvantage miles are the hardest to earn - no transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards or AmEx points freely - so there's a lot less in circulation.
OTOH Citi absolutely gives them away. You can churn 50k business cards every few months and I got a 60k retention bonus on a card this year -- yes, SIXTY THOUSAND.
