I've not flown out of DXB but have flown out of AUH a few times. Star gold does get priority access through security and check in, as well. As lounge access (which is quite nice). I fly LH to AUH and enjoy them. The senator lounges are good for a shower en route. I would fly TK if going between DXB and IAH, for sure. You'd get access to the lounge in TK too (and an option of a stop off in a cool city).
