metro will be more expensive than a car rental ($18/adult, $15.50/student round trip from union station to anaheim). doesn't mean i wouldn't consider it still... a friday night game will probably take at least 2 hours to get down there if he drives (and fwiw, a taxi would be $80+ with light traffic - with heavy traffic, probably around $120+ (each way)).
