If qantas are saying its 2 pieces on my itinerary and i show that to jetstar, what will they do? If they say no and i dont buy the extra baggage now, then im going to have one hell of an excess baggage fee!
Since Jetstar is the carrier who determines the baggage allowances, then it is Jetstar which is the prevailing carrier for determining which baggage allowances applyb. If JQ is saying that the allowance is 20Kg, then that is what you need to be prepared for

If Jetstar says the allowance is 20Kg, then yes of course

Have you phoned Jetstar and asked it about the allowance rather than Qantas? If you phone Jetstar and the agent says 2 pieces then you are prob ok; if the agent says 20Kg, then expect to be charged excess if > 20Kg

If the allowance is 20Kg, then whether 3500 points to change is worth avoiding the $25 per Kg excess is something you need to decide if it is worthwhile
