Thats in their business model, right?
Thanks savitar. Your situation is different because your final flight is where you have less baggage allowance. Mine is the first flight. I know there are people doing this in Aus every day, just need to hear some confirmation, or their experiences.
If i print my itinerary as shown on 'my bookings' online, it says 2 pieces for jetstar flight. Will that be enough for me? Surely they cant knock that back???
Actually normal MSC rule does not apply in this case
For travel to or from the USA, it is the 1st carrier who gets to choose baggage policy. It can choose to apply its own or can choose to apply the policy of the MSC; whatever is applied on 1st sector is then applicable to the entire trip
It sounds like jetstar is applying its own allowance which would seem to be 20Kg; what matters is what it says on the jetstar booking info
It would sound like your best bet would be to change your ADL-SYD flight to a Qantas one
