You'll check in for your flight at the terminal of the airline that you are flying from SFO-EWR. Assuming it's all on one ticket, you'll get boarding passes for both flights and your bags will be checked through all the way to Delhi. When you arrive in Newark, figure out what gate your next flight is leaving from and go there.
Are u sure..about baggage claim..it happened by chance when i was coming i had to reckaim it in newark first and then go to sfo...
