Thanks for the suggestion Haddon90, but we will have all our luggage for the vacation in Moorea and cruise with us so I'd rather be able to leave that in one hotel. That way we can check out and hopefully leave the baggage at the hotel till we're ready to head to the airport.

We hadn't really considered going to Anaheim until my wife noticed there was a game on there whereas the Kings are on the road.

To give more detail on our timeline...

Thursday 18:00 - arrive LAX.

Saturday 23:30(ish) - Depart LAX.

My wife would like to visit the Grove area and eat at the Fat Cow, but other than that we have nothing planned. Maybe we could get a hotel somewhere in that area and if it's not practical to get to the hockey we could just go for a meal or see a show or something in LA.

As I said, we really know nothing of LA so are just at the early stages of looking around. We realize that's there's no "downtown" per se so have a lot to learn about the different areas.
