Perfect room size was the Standard room at the Valley Wing at the Singapore Shangri La at 57m2. One nice big room. We never feel the need for multi room suites as long as the bedroom is spacious
This is a pretty good summary.
Under 25 m2 is too small unless for one night only.
35-45 m2 is fair with Ms. Travelsig for a few days.
I also like the rooms in the Valley Wing- very well thought out.
Another hotel that I think has an intelligent use of space and is very work and relaxation friendly is the Park Hyatt Hamburg as an example.
The intelligent use of space is key- I recently stayed in a hotel room that used space very poorly and had a bathroom far larger than the working/sleeping area and a extremely small closet- which made for a very uncomfortable stay.
