This was my assumption, and one I would think most consumers would make. Having indicated that a lap child would be flying in addition to 2 adults, and having been given a quote based on that information, am I really expected to do United's homework for them and double check their math? My responsibility is to not misrepresent the number of passengers flying and in what capacity. I expect United to give me a quote based on that information, but I do not expect to have to double check their math. I expect to have to pay what they quoted for the passengers indicated, which I did.
