That is disappointing to learn. If they hadn't been open last March when we arrived, we would have been stuck in a blizzard in Flagstaff. As a last resort, you can take a taxi to pick up a rental at the airport. It is about a 10 minute ride. Perhaps Hertz will pick up the tab. Good luck. Ground transportation is often a major challenge when traveling with Amtrak.

We stayed on a previous trip at the Fairfield Inn, and they provided transportation to the airport at the time. We paid about $10 for a taxi to FI and they provided a ride to the airport in the AM.
