That was my only complaint: the suites were a bit cramped. It was very hard to maneuver between the living room area, kitchen, and bedroom. Otherwise, a very nice property and great treatment of guests.

I've stayed at two of the three BW properties in West Yellowstone, and neither is much to talk about. They provide beds, and that's about it. I've always thought there could be a HI in West Yellowstone; maybe in the future, they'll add one, like they have in Springdale, UT (outside of Zion and not a ridiculous distance from Bryce--previously, the closest Hilton properties there were in St. George).

I've stayed at both BZN properties; they're OK. I would like to see some expansion into parts of UT and AZ where there are abundant BW (including some reasonably nice ones like Ruby's Inn BW outside Bryce) and even several Holiday Inn / Express properties (e.g. the Page, AZ, or Kanab, UT, areas), but that's just my selfish desire to accumulate Hilton points.

On the other hand, I can highly recommend the Snake River Grill and the Gun Barrell restaurant -- especially if you wish to sample some local game dishes such as Buffalo steaks, Elk medalliors/chops, and/or Buffalo or Venison sausages. These restraurants are not inexpensive, but if you expect to pay big city prices, then you will be happy to receive more value for your $$ than you generally receive at those sort of city establishments.
I've heard great things about Thai Me Up in Jackson, but we didn't have time to try it when we were last there. Still, the folks recommending it to me are serious, hardcore foodies, so I'll take their word on it.

There's also a HGI in Kalispell. I just got back from there this weekend; I got upgraded to suites at both the HI and HGI (to a nice corner suite in the HI). Both are approximately 45 minutes from the West Glacier entrance to GNP, and about 10 minutes south of FCA airport. Both were decent properties, but the suite at the HI was significantly nicer than the one at the HGI. IIRC, the HGI was cheaper by ~$50/night on similar rates.

ETA: I see I was responding to a post from several years ago. Maybe the HGI wasn't there in 2006.
