I love cookies. All cookies. Anytime. Especially Christmas cookies - my mom made amazing thin crispy sugar cookies that we could decorate...and amazing date balls that were no-bake and involved melted dates (yes, they melt) and rice crispies.) And spritz and homemade shortcake. Oops, I think my pancreas just burst.
All that having been said, I have to go with chocolate chip, made from scratch from the recipe on the back of the bag, no nuts, thin and soft but baked long enough that the bottom is brown and a little crispy. Nothing fancy, no white chocolate, no Swiss chocolate made by elves under a full moon, all that's fine for other purposes. But the real deal needs to be Nestle Chocolate Chips. No other brand will substitute.
