There is a possibility that your flight from SFO to one of those cities, if it is on United Express, may depart from Terminal 1. To get to Terminal 1 from Terminal 3, where you are most likely to arrive from HNL, you can take a special shuttle bus that keeps you behind security.

You can also exit security, take the airport train, and re-clear security -- but you won't be required to do this.
