Hello - I'm planning on flying out from TPA-SFO in February 2014 as part of a positioning flight to Hawaii for a honeymoon. There is only one FL flight for me to utilize business class and it arrives after 11pm...staying overnight and then departing OAK very early next morning.

I noticed the cancellation rate for the ATL-SFO flight seems unusually high (37%) -- if this happens, could I expect them to try and put me on another carrier (i.e. Delta) to any of the area airports (SFO, OAK, SJC) that night instead of waiting until the next day? Is there any benefit to being an Elite in this situation?
