And do you earn one mile per dollar spent on it?
I called to cancel my United MileagePlus Explorer card. When I said it was because I didn't want to pay the annual fee the first rep offered me a no fee version that only gets one mile per $2 spent. I said no please cancel the card and I was sent to retention where the rep said they can't waive the annual fee but they could give me a $100 statement credit if I pay the annual fee of $95. So I decided to keep the card since I have only had it for a year and I don't think I can get the bonus again right now anyway.
