I'm trying to calculate if I could possibly stay GM on AMEX (Plat) spend. (I'm retired) But I need to understand the exact rules. I need to have 25K in charges to the card in calendar 2014, correct? (Has nothing to do with billing dates, payment dates?) And, having spent the 25K, I'd get a 10K MQM bump. Assuming I reached 25K in December, I assume the extra 10K MQMs would be for 2015? If I made 25K spend by, say, October would they be 2014 MQMs?
