I'd surmise the analyst crowd would have taken a dim view of what amount to a customer-as-hostage strategy, given their overt skepticism about UA's competitive position and Jeff's lack of answers about how to reattract HVFs.
I think analysts are smart enough to quickly grasp the strategy of better aligning benefits with a customer's economic contribution.
