1. I did ask the credit union to fax it to Bluebird, but they said they needed a signed permission slip,--credit union is 25 min drive away.

2. Looked up the free fax website you mentioned, and it mentions at the top $4.95 a month, but did see at bottom, a much smaller link for free faxes with ads. Big time thanks, my driving days are over. I will use them as needed.

3. Have had an Epson all in one printer with fax, but over the years, have tried and tried and tried to get it to fax, seems some DSL problem connection. Anyway after your post, tried again this morning and wonder of wonders, it said fax was sent!!

Just called Bluebird and they got the fax, superviser approved information, and my account is NOW OPEN.

Lesson learned ---- you have to be a principal named on the linked account, not just an authorized user. I was just an authorized user for this account for over 30 years, until we put it in a trust 5 years ago and became a principal also.

Again thanks for your help.
You are very welcome. It's a pleasure to know when your advice has helped someone. But I would have words with the general manager of your credit union. In this day and age, it's truly shameful that your CU wouldn't allow you to send an email to authorize the fax. They even could have sent you an email to reply back that you authorized the fax. What more proof do they need that you are indeed who you say you are, especially if your email address is on file with them? But I'm glad you didn't have to make another 40 minute trip by car!
