But don't believe me-just look at typical post total for most FT posts these days. Many long time vets are gone or don't bother posting much.
Example at hand was especially egregious as newbie didn't even read Wiki info.
What clogs threads is people going out of their way telling others to read enormous threads when an answer of a few words would suffice. Add to that other posts chastising people for providing the answer and you see where the true clogging occurs.
Don't want to answer? Don't answer. But don't annoy those of us who choose to help others.
By the way, I'm not "arguing in favor of newbies asking first and reding later" (sic) -- I'm commenting on the responses to those posts.
