Got home afer 40 min. drive to fax. Called only to get another specialist and superviser, who said yes, they realized that I had been told that my account would be open after fax, but upon re-assessing situation they could not open my account without a current statement with both our names on it.
Yes, they admitted I had been told wrong 2 hours ago.Yes they admitted that they knew I was a principal user on account, but couldn't do anything to help me.
I asked if I could unlink my account from that credit union, and they said once it had been linked, that they had to verify it PROPERLY or account would remain closed.
I called credit union to see if they could print me out a current statement with both our names on it and they said yes, but suggested instead that I go online to view my account and there it was!!! A statement with both our names on it that I could print off that had all that Blueberry wants.
So needless to say tomorrow I will do drive again to fax statement, and hopefully all will be fixed.
Why am I doing this????? I'm in my 70's and too old for this!!!! Life if tooooo short for this kind of crap. Do I really want to be have financial dealings with Bluebird?
Points are sooooo adictive.......
Why are you driving anywhere to fax a document? Just stay at home tomorrow! You have many options:
1. Call the credit union and ask them to fax it for you. Most credit unions are very customer friendly and would have been happy to do this for a senior citizen.
2. Use one of the free fax by computer websites. You found your credit statement online with your name on it. All you need to do is to save that statement electronically as a PDF or Microsoft Word file and then fax it electronically by using one of these sites. One of the many excellent sites is
www.faxzero.com. It's so easy to do even a child could do it. I have done this when I am not home, where I have my own combo fax/computer/printer.
3. Although this would be a bit impractical to do this NOW, you should go online and buy an inexpensive combo fax/computer/printer to use at home. Brother makes an excellent machine at a very reasonable price. I am sure you can order it from amazon.com.
But whatever you do, do NOT drive 40 minutes again - it's a waste of gas and time. And for those of us in our senior years, time is precious indeed. You said so yourself!
