Note that this woman was never convicted for being raped. She was convicted for unlawful intoxication, unlawful perjury and unlawful fornication. I am sort of concluding that the UAE authorities may have thought she had willfully chosen to get drunk and decided to have sex with a partying colleague and then claimed to have been raped when she woke up with doubts about her judgment on relationships.
