This official was suspended from his job and arrested. Thats unheard of in other Gulf countries / cities where Pakistanis, etc are treated as sub human and citizens do what they like. As far as rape. Im sorry, this is not Afghanistan.....no one goes to jail for being raped. there is so much more to this story then the little bit written. For sure, somethings are still backwards in the UAE. (My God, its Ramadan and I cant enjoy a cigarette on the street during daylight)..the horror......

But when the sun goes down, the clubs are open, the $5000 a night call girls are all at Buddah Bar...its life as usual in the UAE.

If someone wants to argue with e about this, get on a plane and come here, look into it yourself.........if your gonna trust the press about this, then I assume you trust the press about everything else.
