I would not say that 4pm is the norm by any stretch of the imagination. i have seen cxl policies ranging from 6pm DOA to 30 days, to non-refindable at 6 months out and everything in between. I would call and plead case because you cannot lose anything, but you may just be out of the $. You will have to call hotel directly because central res will not assist in this case.
