I'm short 30,937 Tier Miles to get Plat until October and I didn't book my October flights yet, but it will only give me 21K (Western Europe Far East Asia in J), so I need so upgrades to J in the meantime... So I called Emirates today, and looked for paid upgrades to J for my upcoming travels and guess what ? There are some free seat (a few) in J but only on one leg of my outbound or inbound trips (NCE-DXB or DXB-HKG) but never all the way to HKG or back to NCE ! So I can't upgrade as the rule doesn't authorize per flight upgrades

I'm on waiting lists... but with Summer travelers, it is not that easy !
