Yes, I called the standard diamond number. I booked the "Diamond Standard Room RWD" for 80,000 points. Online, the lowest award I could see was for 120,552 on April 16, 2014.

The Diamond desk couldn't help me on April 17 so I booked an Advance Purchase King Garden Pool Bungalow for 33,922.50 XPF.

I originally booked April 18 prior to the points devaluation for 50,000.

So, now I have three consecutive bookings, each for the same type room but at different price points! I am going to pay to upgrade, probably to an overwater bungalow.

We are going on a cruise and I thought we would fly in the night before the cruise, thus the one night at 50,000. But, Air Tahiti Nui's flight schedule wasn't conducive to a one night stay. And Hawaiian Air goes one day a week and gets in after the cruise departs.

This is a very challenging place to fly to. Luckily, we were able to snag ATN business class using AA mileage award.
