What is the full price for the time you will be there? Diamonds occasionally do get a courtesy upgrade - but
only to the three Lagoon Bungalows that are basically on the shore and partly stick out over the lagoon (see the OP for map, etc.). You are not likely to get a courtesy upgrade to an OWB.
- King or Twin Garden Bungalow mid-April W-F stay: $430 refundable / $322 A.P. (nonrefundable) per night
- King Lagoon Bungalow: $621 / $465
- King Overwater Bungalow: $730 / $547
- King Overwater Panoramic Bungalow: $817 / $613
Perhaps it's time to look at something like
Les Tipaniers? You can save a lot of money, have a kitchenette, and this place is past the Hilton with a lot of dining, shopping, splendid (not faux like the Hilton's barged in sand) beaches, etc. No, no OWBs.

We got caught in the award redemption change. We booked one night at 50,000 but didn't want to book any other nights because we couldn't book an award flight until months later. So, we didn't know if we would be staying 1, 2 or 3 nights prior to our cruise. Now, the lowest point value is 120,000 per night. So, looks like we will be paying for two nights at $370+ per night because we don't have enough points. And, that is for a garden bungalow. I hate paying $175 per night to upgrade 3 nights. At that rate, we'll be paying $1,500 for one award night and two paid nights plus the upgrade.
Have you heard of any Diamonds receiving comp upgrades lately?
Maybe I should start looking at other hotels? Marriott?
