How difficult is that? The fact that such attention to detail is absent is attributable to a lack of emphasis from the top, not a morale/labor issue or otherwise.
Because now COdbaUA is being run "as a business" and not "as an airline."
Only airlines do the things you ask for.

I don't see coercion here. They've destroyed the value proposition. No reason to spend more. I think this is about cutting, not coercing. They want to cut the bottom out so they can stiff them with more fees and less benefits.

Sounds like UG fees don't count toward qualification. And, furthermore, seems there is no way to even know the qualifying amount because of all the obfuscation that CO has introduced.
Watch this - I guarantee we'll see a thread just like this later:
"I spent $12,000 on UA but they won't give me 1K status." Then, the answer will come back: "All of my tickets were sold to me as F class tickets but now CO has retroactively clawed back the spend calculation because they claim they are Y tickets that had an up-sell component hidden in them and they won't give me credit for what they claim is the up-sell. They're saying that, really, I spent only $4,000 last year, and the extra $10,000 that I gave to them will not count towards 1K because those are special embedded fees that don't qualify as spend."
Anyone want to make bets on the date when we'll see this conversation for real?
