birdyy, between May and September is pretty much a Hobson's choice - no big difference, even in rainfall. (I'd avoid July and August like the plague.) May - Oct are fine for rains, IMO and IME; Nov - Mar you will have significant rain and Christmas - New Year you are in the very peak of rains (and I have experienced that twice - can be 2 or more days at a time of driving rain and winds). And N.B. Christmas and New Year's buffet extravaganza dinners are included and mandatory at those times.
