I'm not doubting it's authenticity but as far as I know no-one has ever posted evidence from a reliable source that this is the case.
As your two flights are with AR I wouldn't worry about the consequences of missing your connection so that's one worry less.
The Manuel Tienda Leon transfer would be your best bet if timings work or just take taxis.
