For example, I search fares from NYC to MOW on any airline with 19 June and 29 June outbound and inbound respectively.
It is clear that the list of fares breaks somehow between AZ economy fare VHWB67US (USD1061) and OS business fare DRC14E (USD 6676). If I filter business only I only get one business fare before the above OS fare which is current AY sale fare (ICAMPUS, USD 891). So tons of fares are lost.
These are only shown when specific airlines search is done, which is not very convenient and promises that I can miss good deals
I have sent the same to the e-mail, thanks!
This has nothing to do with a specific airline search, it's a limitation where the GDS can only return ~250 fares at once. So what we do is 2 searches, one sorted by low fares first, the other with high fares first, and combine them. So in cases where there are more then ~500 fares for your search, there may be a gap in the middle.
Specifying airline(s) limits the fare results to <500 and will therefore get all fares returned. You can also limit the search results by specifying a fare class.
There is also a rough way to limit by cabin. If you enter F, C, W or Y into the Fare Basis Code field then for some types of fare searches you'll see results mostly limited to one of those cabins. However it's not perfect and it doesn't always work, unfortunately the GDS doesn't give us a true way to limit a fare search to a specific cabin in the request.
