Embraer seems to be having great recent success with this aircraft...
"American Airlines has announced it will establish a fleet of large regional jets including 53 Embraer 175 76-seat aircraft starting this year.
The new aircraft will sport the new American Eagle livery and a two-class configuration with first class and main cabin. The aircraft will also offer American’s premium-economy Main Cabin Extra seats with expanded legroom."
The CRJ-1000 is a fair amount larger...(and it looks like hardly any orders)
"The E-170 and E-175 directly compete with the Bombardier CRJ-700 and Bombardier CRJ-900, respectively, and loosely compete with the turboprop Bombardier Q400."
