4.5 years ago was the beginning of the end, and DL hasn't stopped crapping on their passengers.
You have my sympathies. I'm in mourning, as I left some stones to celebrate certain personal milestones. It was such a unique and fun custom that caused no harm and probably caused some people to opt to connect through DTW when they had a choice. I know I planned some trips this way, typically selecting a stone on the outbound and returning it with decorations during my return connection. Surprisingly, TSA never questioned why I had a small rock in my carry on.
