I believe the best way to defeat the Zero Halliburton lock, regardless of the type, is to avoid it altogether, and to defeat the hinge. It is a single pin hammered through the hinge barrel. Simple using another slightly narrower pin that is longer than the barrel to hammer out the pin, and then pull your narrow pin out and the barrel hinge should come apart. For this reason you should consider modifying your Zero Halliburton by crimping the hinge barrel on both ends so that the hinge pin can't be hammered out.
