On that note, I'd add displays that are not sufficiently large to display all the flight departures (or arrivals), meaning that they course through two, three or even four screens every 30 seconds or so. Consequently most people are left waiting while the screen shows a whole series of flights that they are not interested in before it gets back to the display that they want. In a huge and expensive complex like a modern airport, how difficult can it be to have adequately sized screens or more than one screen at each display point?
(I'd also add that the number of people who are going to want to see flight details for a flight leaving at 22.35 when it's only eight o'clock in the morning must be tiny, yet frequently I have seen all the flights for the whole day and even for some of the next day scrawling through, many hours before they could conceivably be relevant in the departure lounge.)
