On the Hyatt Residence Club's Facebook page, they had this to say about the Hyatt Hacienda del Mar (in response to somebody's comment about the bad shape that the property is in): "I am happy to announce that the Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar will begin a full room renovation in September."

I haven't been to the property before, but am planning on taking my wife and kids to Puerto Rico for the first time next spring and would prefer to stay at a Hyatt property. From everything that I have read about this place, I have an idea of what to expect, but as long as the rooms are clean and comfortable, there's a nice beach, and the grounds are taken care of...we'll be good. Still, it's good to see that they're planning on making some improvements to the rooms.
