Approved for the "lesser" card

I applied for the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature card at the beginning of the month for the 25,000 miles it came with, and I was approved. Upon receiving the card today, I noticed what they actually gave me was the Platinum Plus version, which only comes with 5,000 miles upon signup. For that amount, I would not have bothered with the card. I know some other banks like Barclays might do something similar.

What's the protocol here? Do I call Bank of America and explain that this isn't the card that interests me? Should I just close this card and try to reapply for the Visa Signature version in the future?

I appreciated any advice, especially since I couldn't really find what I was looking for on the search.
