It depends upon where one is located, and it is going to be an errand, but why not convert it to VR or PP Load or any reloads? $1 cheaper/$500 than converting it from MC to VISA assuming one is playing the PrePaid game. If one's local WM don't take CC, one can convert it at a gas station as well if one is lucky. If not, drugstores. $1 more for converting at a grocery store.
I saw that University thing. Have you tried it? If so, does it work like other GCs?

I mention that since it's free. And, the copy & paste I saw had full balance of $100, so I assumed you had not tested the credit portion of the GC. Sometimes, you are forced to do what you don't want to do. Liquidating or testing GCs through AP is one of those...at least in my head. Hope you'll have no additional problems!
