ex-AUS CPUs are not too difficult. I have a friend who is 1K that is based there has had more problems upgrading his IAH-XXX-IAH connections as opposed to flying AUS-SFO/ORD/DEN/IAD-XXX where he regularly clears. I don't believe he takes the AUS-EWR flight.
