I only change seats to a materially worse seat if they issue me a new BP with a new seat number.

That way the action is documented in the computer, and if they're up to any funny business (e.g., if training = I would like my non-revving friend to sit here), it will be called out.

If there is any funny business, the GA is not going to want his or her sign-on associated with it.
